Police Pension Claims
We act for around 15,000 younger police officers whose claims for age discrimination have been lodged with the Employment Tribunal.
If you are interested in joining this litigation, please complete the questionnaire and submit it by following the instructions in the link. We will then consider your information and be in touch.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THIS CLAIM?
The transitional provisions applied to the pension scheme affect all officers who have been required to join the CARE 2015 scheme or will be required to do so in due course.
If you were born after 01/04/1967 and were appointed as a police officer after 01/04/1992, there is a high possibility that you have been affected by the changes to the pension scheme and may have a claim for discrimination and/or equal pay
What is my claim worth?
If the claims are successful, the government will need to take steps to remove the discrimination and, moving forward from the discrimination being removed (which may be a lengthy process), all Officers are likely to be affected.
Those who have lodged claims would likely get the benefit of a remedy for the losses they suffer from 1 April 2015, i.e. the date that the CARE 2015 scheme was imposed, to the date when the Government actually removes the discrimination.
How much will it cost me?
Any new claims will be funded under our Client Care and Fee Agreement. This will require an initial upfront fixed fee of £100 plus VAT which takes into account restarting the registration and claims process for the new set of claims, which will incur our time.
A further fixed fee of £1500 plus VAT will be payable on completion of the claim whether we win or lose.
